Former detective testifies about Scott Peterson researching Bay water currents
A former police detective is testifying that Scott Peterson had researched the water currents of San Francisco Bay a few weeks prior to the disappearance of his wife. The officer is telling the jury about data he analyzed from five computers seized from the Peterson home. Laci Peterson vanished on Christmas Eve of 2002. Her body and that of her unborn son were found in April 2003. Yesterday, the defense rebutted the prosecution claim that Peterson was having financial problems and wanted to cash-in on his wife's life insurance policy. His lawyer claims Laci Peterson was about to receive an inheritance, so it would be in his best interest if she were alive.
