CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A man is behind bars after being busted by police for making threats against cops through the 911 call system.

Richard Dameron was arrested after police got his cell phone number and tricked him into thinking he was going to a Super Bowl party.

19 Action News has received the 911 recordings of Dameron making threats against police, including retired Cleveland Police Officer Jim Simone.

In one recording Dameron is heard saying, "I'm gonna kill two cops.", then stating, "I want Jim Simone at my place. I'm gonna kill two cops. bye."

Simone spent decades as a no nonsense Cleveland cop, he has shot and killed 5 people in his career, all shootings were ruled justified.

"I take the threat seriously because I have a family," says Jim Simone.

"There's never been a homicide out where I live but he would've been probably the first," says Simone, "Much better to deal with the system than to deal with me one on one," he adds.

In a police report Dameron claimed to be part of the white supremacist group the Aryan Brotherhood.

After Dameron was arrested, his case ended up in front of Judge Pinky Carr, who is an African American female.  He has since struck a plea deal for making false alarms.

Dameron is set to be sentenced next month.
