CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Four 'Great Living Cincinnatians' will be honored Thursday night during the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's annual dinner.
The "Celebration of Legacy & Leadership" is the Chamber's annual dinner recognizing the newest Great
Living Cincinnatians and Julie Janson for her service to the organization in
2012. During the event, the Chamber will also publicly install Kay Geiger as
2013 Chamber Chair.
Thomas G. Cody, Edwin J. Rigaud, Richard H. Rosenthal and Phyllis J. Weston are all being honored.
The Great Living Cincinnati honor has been presented
annually since 1967. Leadership, vision, tenacity and love of community are
hallmarks shared by the recipients, who are chosen for their community service,
business and civic attainment, awareness of the needs of others and distinctive
accomplishments that bring favorable attention to the region.
"The Great Living Cincinnatian Award is the preeminent
regional honor, and these four very worthy recipients join 131 prior honorees
as the who's who of Cincinnati's leaders," said Ellen van der Horst, president
and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. "Members of the class of 2013
have enjoyed tremendous professional success, and they enhanced our region by
advocating change and growth — particularly at some of our most respected
institutions. They are true life-sized heroes and we are delighted to spotlight
their accomplishments and contributions."
