Five Arrested After Disturbance

Hamilton Police arrested five people and had to shoot one of them with a tazer during a disturbance in Hamilton.

Police say they were questioning John Croom, 18, near Eleventh and Walnut on Thursday for driving recklessly when he started yelling at them. Two other people, John Robinson and Gayle Barefield, tried to stop officers from arresting Croom. By that time, police say they were surrounded by more than 30 people and had to call for help. They say they tased Damon Carpenter when he got so violent they could not control him.
