Police seize over $3 million of heroin in bust

Two men involved in a heroin network spanning from Kentucky to California were arrested on Thursday.

The Cincinnati Police Department's Major Drug Offenders Unit worked with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency's Cincinnati agents and Task Force officers to track the two men and recover over 30 pounds of heroin.

Moises Solano-Devalos, 21, of Highland Heights and 29-year-old Pedro Mendoza of Los Angeles, Calif. were taken into custody on federal charges of Conspiracy and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.

The investigation revealed that Mendoza arranged deliveries while in Los Angeles. He then traveled to Cincinnati to complete the transactions and collect payments.

Investigators say that Mendoza and Solano-Davis have conducted these activities for several years.

Police say that the estimated street value of the seized heroin is over $3 million.

Investigators believe the seizure will significantly impact the local supply of heroin.
