Police investigate deadly crash in Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

Police are investigating a deadly overnight crash in Bloomfield.

It happened just before 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Police said a gray Chevy Impala was driving north on Route 189 just south of the Simsbury line when it collided with a GMC Sonoma head-on.

According to police, the driver of the Chevy was killed during the collision and the passenger was seriously injured. The driver of the GMC suffered a broken leg.

Police have not yet identified the victims involved in the crash.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is now investigating the crash.
