A Mt. Airy father is facing charges after police say he temporarily abandoned his kids for a drug deal.
Antoine Newell, 20, is charged with two counts of endangering children, drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in drugs.
According to Hamilton County court documents, Newell left a child unattended to go outside for a drug transaction. He was found with heroin, marijuana and a digital scale during his arrest.
Newell is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center. His bond was set at $3,500 during an arraignment on Monday morning.
