Insight customers may need to rescan on March 7

(FOX19) -

On the morning of Thursday, March 7 Insight Cable will change the direct channel assignment for FOX19 and Bounce TV.

The virtual channel numbers, 19-1 and 19-2  will not change.

This change only affects those subscribers who do not use a cable set top box or cable DVR and who instead have opted for Insight's "Basic" cable service and take the cable directly into their cable ready DTVs.

This Basic service includes the local broadcast channels including secondary channels, public access channels, Univision, and C-SPAN for a total of 29 channels, nothing else.

These subscribers will have to re-scan their DTVs after the changes have been implemented on the morning of March 7th.

You can either rescan or you can directly enter the new channel number, then manually add it to your channel lineup.

Here's how:

Enter ch. 20.43 for 19.1 and ch. 20.40 for 19.2

Once the new channel assignments are added to your TV either by a rescan or by manually adding, you can get FOX19 and Bounce TV by entering 19.1 or 19.2.
