Convention Center Progress Report

Things are looking up at the Cincinnati Convention Center now known as Cinergy Center.  Phase one of the $160 million expansion project is completed.  That leaves 85% of the work to be done but project organizers say the effort will pay off.  The expanded convention center is expected to generate an increase of $122 million annually in direct and indirect spending and create nearly 2000 new full and part-time jobs.  At a meeting of the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors David Ginsburg, President & CEO of Downtown Cincinnati, Inc., said there are plenty of reasons to believe the revitalization of downtown Cincinnati is underway.
