(FOX19) -
Police are investigating a possible kidnapping in Northside and related car accident in College Hill.
Authorities received a report of a woman and two small children being kidnapped by a man, just after 10 p.m. in Northside. The report said the victims were being taken to Bercliff Avenue.
Police were alerted to look out for a gold 2001 Chevy vehicle. An officer spotted a similar looking car while staking out the area and attempted to pull it over.
The vehicle, a white Honda, reportedly took off, ensuing a police chase and eventually ending in a crash at Cedar and Lantana Avenue in College Hill. The Honda hit a Kia, and the two cars struck a nearby home, as a result of the collision.
Upon further investigation, authorities learned the driver in the chase was not related to the reported kidnapping in Northside. The driver who fled the scene reportedly had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Both the driver and a female passenger were injured in the accident and taken to the hospital. The driver of the Kia was also taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released.
Meanwhile, the original suspect was arrested in Northside without incident.
