Peterson Jurors Hear Intimate Calls

In a phone call to his mistress just days after his wife disappeared -- Scott Peterson told Amber Frey that "The Shining" is "the best movie ever." His casual reference to the 1980 horror flick -- in which a man tries to kill his wife -- was secretly recorded and played in court yesterday during Peterson's murder trial.

The details of his relationship with Frey were part of an effort by prosecutors to boost their theory that the other woman was Peterson's motive for killing his wife, Laci. Frey's testimony is expected to resume today.

Her attorney, Gloria Allred, says the exchange about "The Shining" was the "bombshell" of yesterday's testimony. She says it gave her "more chills" than when she saw the actual movie.
