Man sought in series of Nashville armed robberies

Police are searching for a man who is suspected in several recent armed robberies and attempted robberies across Nashville, including two early Monday.

Investigators say the man attempted to rob the Mapco gas station at 4677 Trousdale Dr. before then attempting to hold up the Krispy Kreme at 408 Thompson Lane.

The same man is also suspected in robbing the Circle K at 2200 Nolensville Pike on March 13, the Phillips 66 at 801 Briley Pkwy. on March 17 and attempting to rob the Discount Tobacco at 2181 Nolensville Pike on March 17.

Police say the suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5'10" to 6' and about 190 pounds. In each of the crimes, he has worn a white cloth to cover his face and a black ball cap with a white design on the front, police said.

He may be riding in a dark green, four-door sedan - possibly a Pontiac Grand Am - with tinted windows, police said.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
