WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - More than 600 people gathered in West Chester to walk for a good cause.
The annual MDA Southwest Ohio Muscle Walk was held Saturday morning at The Voice of America Park to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Hundreds were on hand to partake in one of the many non-competitive walks across the county.
The MDA Muscle Walk Program is the largest event of its kind in the United States dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.
More that 160 walks are held annually nationwide. Last year, MDA Muscle Walks raised more than $6.2 million. More than $10 million has been raised since the program started in 2011.
This year's walk in West Chester raised $29,555. All proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
