Bryant to attend pretrial hearing today
Kobe Bryant will attend a pretrial hearing today in Colorado, less than two weeks before his sexual assault trial is due to start. But some legal experts speculate that prosecutors who've suffered a series of legal setbacks are looking for a way to dismiss the charges. Officials connected with the case are barred from commenting in detail to the media. But a district attorney's spokeswoman has said prosecutors still plan to try Bryant. The Los Angeles Lakers star insists his accuser consented to a sexual encounter last summer. Jury selection in the Bryant case begins August 27th.
