Brooks Flooring fish fry benefits local charities

FT. WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

A local business held a Good Friday fish fry to benefit Cincinnati's Shriners Hospital for Children.

Brooks Flooring, located in Ft. Wright, holds a fish fry in their store every Friday during the season of Lent.

Each week, the proceeds are donated to a different charity in the Tri-State.

Brooks Flooring owner Bill Brooks says the weekly event began as a way to boost business when the economy took a turn for the worst, but has since turned into much more.

Cincinnati's Shriners Hospital for Children treats patients regardless of their ability to pay medical costs.

Shriners officials say their services are made possible through donations like the Brooks Flooring Fish Fry.
