Bomb squad called to West Chester post office

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -

The bomb squad was called to a West Chester U.S. post office branch after reports of a suspicious package on Sunday morning.

Police were alerted of the incident around 7:45 a.m. at a branch on Cincinnati-Dayton Road.

Am individual accessing the lobby of the branch reported seeing a large plastic bag making a beeping noise inside the lobby area.

The Butler County Bomb squad was called to remove and examine the package.

No bomb was found.

A section of Cincinnati-Dayton Road was closed and the building was evacuated as the suspicious package was removed and evacuated.

The incident is currently under investigation.
