PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Three people were more shaken up than injured after the plane in which they were riding flipped during takeoff at Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix on Thursday morning.

Larry Nunez of the Phoenix Fire Department said none of the people on board the leased single-engine aircraft needed medical attention.

The plane, a Cessna 172, was taking off about 9:30 a.m. when it flipped, according to Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration. Gregor did not say what caused the crash.

He said the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
