Construction date set for Clifton grocery store

CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - A construction date has finally been set on a remodeled Clifton grocery store.

Owner Steve Goessling tells FOX19 that work on the former Keller's IGA will begin on May 20.

The store closed two years ago after falling behind on taxes.

Goessling bought the building and finalized nearly $4 million in financing with the city back in January.

The renamed "Clifton Gaslight Market" will have 20,000 products including a bakery, organic food section, and a large wine and beer selection.
