New airline bringing jobs to CVG

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - The May arrival of Frontier Airlines at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) has already sparked direct job creation in the form of a Nebraska ground-handling company.

Trego-Dugan Aviation will provide ground-handling services for Frontier's daily Denver flight. The company expects to hire one full-time manager and 20 part-time staff.

Ground handling addresses the many service requirements of an airliner between the time it arrives at a terminal gate and its next flight. Services such as check-in and departure assistance, plane clean up, luggage handling, lavatory service, refueling, etc. are all vital steps to ensure airliner efficiency and on-time performance.

Frontier begins service from CVG May 17. The airline is the first low-cost carrier at CVG since 1998. The daily flight Denver flight is estimated to have a $16 million annual impact on the local economy.
