New name, new look for Kenwood Towne Place

The owners of Kenwood Towne Place, the partially vacant development along Interstate 71, have a new marketing plan in store.

Phillips Edison & Co. are renaming it 'Kenwood Collection', who purchased the site from Bank of America in July 2012.

Marketing materials reveal a total of seven floors, complete with restaurants, a health club, spa, and 220,000 square feet of office space. Patrons will also be able to enjoy a free parking garage and views reaching as far as downtown Cincinnati.

In addition, the development at I-71 and Kenwood Road will have three levels, with 300,00 square feet of retail space.

Construction halted at the retail center in 2008 after several lawsuits were filed against Bear Creek Capital, the former developer of the project.

Marketing plans for the new Kenwood Collection were leaked prematurely, and officials with Phillips Edison & Co. say they plan to meet on Tuesday to discuss plans to move forward with the project.
