Delta makes major improvements while complaints about United soar
Delta improving its service survey says.
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Delta Airlines has made great strides in improving its
service to passengers in the last year, according to a new
airline survey from Purdue University. Delta is doing a better job of
getting passengers to their destinations on-time, most luggage is arriving with
them, and consumer complaints declined.
Overall, Delta ranks #4 in the U.S. among 14 airlines evaluated
for passenger service.
#1 on the list is Virgin America because, the survey says,
most of its flights are on-time and it doesn't bump as many people from flights
as a lot of other airlines do when they purposely overbook.
United, which merged with Continental, is going through
major problems --- at least in the eyes of customers. It ranks dead last in the
survey. Not only did United have problems with delays but its consumer
complaints are soaring.
