Summit held to improve local kindergarten readiness

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Local education leaders participated in a seminar dedicated to early childhood learning.

The Hamilton County Summit on Kindergarten Readiness was held at the Cincinnati Museum Center on Tuesday.

The goal of the summit was to improve kindergarten readiness in area, hosted by the United Way and PNC Bank. Participants discussed the impact that early education can have on a child's success as they continue through the public school system.

Teachers and school officials say a quality preschool education can put children on track to achieve milestones, like Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee.
