Man convicted twice of murder back in court for murder

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man convicted of murder twice before is back in court accused of killing another man in late February at an apartment complex for senior citizens.

James Seay, 66, is accused of stabbing and beating Orville Avis at his Dosker Manor apartment. Seay was convicted of murder in 1982 and 1997.

In this latest case, Seay appeared for a pre-trial where defense attorneys and prosecutors discussed discovery evidence as the case moves forward to a possible jury trial.

Seay is scheduled back in court May 29 and remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
