HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A suspect was arrested in a four-year-old cold murder case.

Hamilton Police say Corey White, 23, of Cincinnati, was arrested involving the murder of a man dating back to December 2009.

Police say on December 16, 2009, Steven Denmark Jr. was killed at his home on 216 South 11th Street. Denmark was shot around 7 p.m., then taken to the hospital where he later died.

Hamilton Police said the 911 caller, a female who also lived at 216 South 11 Street, was upstairs at the time of the shooting.

However, by the time she had found Denmark, the suspects were out of sight.

On Wednesday, authorities held a press conference regarding White's arrest, where Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser credited detectives for "good old fashioned gum shoe detective work".

White has been with charged with murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. He is scheduled to be in Butler County Common Pleas Court on Friday.
