MARIEMONT, OH (FOX19) - A man is facing charges after he was reportedly stopped on suspicion of drunken driving, and told police he left his 8-year-old grandson home alone.
Mariemont Police arrested Carl Bird, 51, of Loveland, on Wednesday. Authorities say his blood alcohol level was 0.275 when he was pulled over, well above Ohio's legal driving limit of 0.08.
Meanwhile, Loveland Police found Bird's grandson unharmed and alone at the house. They reportedly found a revolver and bullets, along with a marijuana pipe in the home.
Bird was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and child endangering.
His bond was set at $50,000 and was ordered to stay away from his grandson.
