Harlem Globetrotters dribble into the Tri-State

COVINGTON, KENTUCKY (FOX19) -

The Harlem Globetrotters arrived in the Tri-State on Monday.

Slick Willie Shaw made a grand entrance across the Ohio River, dribbling and spinning a basketball all the way from Cincinnati to Kentucky over the Roebling Suspension Bridge.

It was all part of 'Globetrotter Week', which includes a series of appearances throughout the area.

On Monday afternoon, Slick, a 6'6'' forward, led a pep rally at John G. Carlisle Elementary School in Covington. He performed basketball tricks for the students and talked with them about 'The ABCs of Bullying Prevention', covering tools kids can use on a daily basis to prevent bullying.

The Harlem Globetrotters finish their week in the Tri-State with a game at the Bank of Kentucky Center in Highland Heights on April 19 at 7 p.m.
