HOLLAND, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A new Kroger is coming toHolland, but it will be the first of its kind in our area.

The new store will bebuilt at the former Farmer Jack's location on Orchard Drive, off of AirportHighway. It will differ from other Kroger stores because it will feature apparel.

It's part of the Kroger company'slatest marketplace prototype. The store will include clothing for men, womenand children, in addition to a "Baby's World."

There will also be ahardware aisle, nature market, and liquor store with regular wine tastings.

The Farmer Jack's buildingwill be demolished, and a 124,000-square-foot facility will be built. The twoother Kroger stores in Holland will close, and their 192 employees will likelybe transferred to the new store.

It is expected to open inthe fall of 2014.

"Years ago I used to shopin a store that used to do the same thing," said Karen Hennsley. "I think it'sgreat, because I used to pick up clothes for the grandkids, and you get it alldone under one roof."

Kroger has also submittedplans for a fuel center to be put in the parking lot, but that project is stillawaiting approval.
