FBI, Health Dept. to investigate substance in envelope

QUEENSGATE, OH (FOX19) -

The FBI will join the Cincinnati Health Department in investigating a suspicious envelope that turned up Wednesday night at a business location on Dalton Avenue in Queensgate.

Employees at the US Bank facility called the fire department late Wednesday night after discovering the mailing.  Employees were evacuated and firefighters in hazmat suits came in and removed the envelope.

District Chief Duane Herth says one of the workers opened the envelope, discovered some type of substance inside and immediately covered it up under the procedures used at the facility.

There are no reports of injuries.

The workers were allowed back in after the Fire Department took the envelope away.
