Zoo's baby gorilla can now walk

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Gladys the Gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo can now walk.

Gladys was born in January at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Texas. She was brought to Cincinnati after her birth mother did not respond well to motherhood. The zoo has been using humans as surrogates to eventually get Gladys into the hands of a gorilla surrogate.

The Zoo's Primate Center Team Leader, Ron Evans, says Gladys learning to walk is a huge step in her development.
