MASON, OH (FOX19) - The most colorful Opening Day in Kings Island's history took place Saturday morning as the amusement park hosted the inaugural Komen Color Me Pink 5k Walk/Run.
Nearly 2,500 people were on hand Saturday morning to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
The Komen Color Me Pink 5k featured a 3.1-mile course around the park offering unique and behind-the-scenes views of many popular attractions.
Along the course were four color shoots. Participants were doused in color as they made their way through these areas of the course.
This unique experience isn't about speed or being an athlete. It's about having crazy pink fun with family and friends while making an impact and helping to save lives in the fight against breast cancer.
