Police: Woman rams cop car after man robs home

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Two have been arrested after a woman rammed a police vehicle in an attempt to avoid capture following a burglary.

Hamilton Police were first notified of a man breaking into a home in the 800 block of Armistead Drive around 12:20 p.m. on Friday.

An observant neighbor called authorities and provided police a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.

Within minutes after the call, a Hamilton Police supervisor driving an unmarked vehicle spotted the suspect's car. The officer followed the vehicle while coordinating responding units.

Authorities say that the suspect vehicle observed the unmarked car and attempted to avoid apprehension by driving in an elusive manner.

Police say that a male suspect jumped from the vehicle and ran with officers giving chase.

A female accomplice continued to drive the vehicle in an attempt to avoid capture.

The male suspect was caught after a short foot chase without further incident.

Authorities say that the female driver purposely rammed a second police vehicle causing damage. The officer driving was not injured.

The male suspect has been identified as Jeremy Jackson, 24, of Hanover Township. Jackson has been charged with burglary, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business. Jackson also had outstanding warrants and a history of robbery, burglary, theft, domestic violence, drugs and other offenses.

Jackson's accomplice has been identified as Jennifer Liebisch, 30, of West Chester. She has been charged with complicity to burglary, vandalism, vehicular assault and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Jackson and Liebisch are being held in the Butler County Jail and will be arraigned early next week.
