CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It's not too early for teens to be thinking about summer jobs.
The Cincinnati Police Department's Cadet Program offers those between the ages of 16 and 18 the opportunity to learn about careers in law enforcement and participate in activities that enhance their community while they learn.
Teens selected for the Summer Cadet Program will work 20 hours per week on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule. They will assist School Resource Officers with a variety of duties that may include patrolling in the Central Business Section or attending community events.
In addition, teens will spend some time in the classroom for physical training and learning techniques of observation, radio procedures, ethics and customer service.
The application packet can be found online at the web site of the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati. Teens and guardians should bring the completed packet to a job fair on May 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati located at 3458 Reading Road.
