Pres. Obama mentions CVG during press conference

WASHINGTON, DC (FOX19) - President Barack Obama mentioned the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport during a press conference with reporters in Washington on Tuesday.

President Obama was talking about the sequester and rebuilding things like rebuilding airports, roads and bridges and cited a study that ranked the world's top 100 airports.

"There was not a single U.S. airport that came in the top 25," he said. "I think Cincinnati airport came in 30th."

Some frequent fliers in the Tri-State had positive words to say about CVG.

"I always like flying into Cincinnati. They have good food. It's clean. It always is a smooth run. I don't experience a lot of lines," said Ashley Cooper.

However, not everyone agreed with Cooper.

"The resources here are not great. Once you are here on the concourse if you don't leave right away, there is not much to do," argued Jerry Skinner.

CVG was ranked as 30th overall, and the best regional airport in North America.
