Son of West Virginia sheriff's candidate charged with burglary
A deputy running for sheriff in Putnam County, West Virginia, says he has no plans to bail his son out of jail. Nineteen-year-old John Dailey the third was arrested two weeks ago on charges of breaking into a house and stealing two handguns and a bucket of change. His father -- Chief Deputy John Dailey -- tells the Charleston Gazette, "We didn't raise him to be like that." He says "it cuts a piece of your soul out" but says "If you're dirty, you got to go." He's told his deputies to treat his son just like anyone else. Police recovered the 75 dollars in change, but are still looking for the guns.
