Workplace Shooter Pleads Guilty

Man charged in workplace shootings pleads guilty

A truck driver accused of fatally shooting two men and wounding three others at an Ohio trucking company in November has pleaded guilty. Tom West entered the pleas in an agreement with prosecutors to avoid the death penalty.

West was sentenced to two consecutive life terms without parole on two counts of aggravated murder and another 40 years to be served consecutively on four counts of attempted aggravated murder. A prosecutor in Hamilton, Ohio, says defense attorneys approached West with the proposed deal, and that the victims' family members agreed to it. His father has said West had a grudge against the company because workers harassed him for crashing a truck.
