CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Flying Pig Marathon course goes through three cities and six different municipalities.
Many of the officers and supervisors from those areas normally don't work together, but on Wednesday, all agencies involved met to discuss how they will be coordinating for the race.
The media was not allowed into the multi-jurisdiction meeting. However, officials say representatives from every agency along the 26.2 mile Flying Pig route were in attendance.
Throughout the last few weeks, law enforcement officials have gone through mock scenarios in preparation.
"There is a lot more attention now with what happened in Boston," said Col. Paul Humphries with the Cincinnati Police Department. "We have safety protocol in place and we went over things like logistics, communications."
The Flying Pig Marathon begins at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
