Kings softball players suspended over hazing incident

Kings High School Kings High School
KINGS MILLS, OH (FOX19) -

Six Kings High School softball players were suspended over an incident that took place while the team was at an out-of-town tournament.

The team was in Heath, Ohio on April 27-28. School official say six players covered  teammates' heads and made them drink a mixture of soda and juice as a part of an "initiation ritual" on Friday night.

The coach immediately notified school officials and a full investigation was conducted. The players were suspended for two games.

No one was hurt in the incident and no alcohol was involved.

"We take all of these types of incidents very seriously and this type of behavior will not be tolerated here at Kings," the school said in a statement.
