Police: Suspects trick elderly woman into withdrawing $4K

(FOX19) -

Police are hoping to identify two suspects wanted for tricking a 91-year-old woman into withdrawing nearly $4,000 from her account.

Investigators say the elderly woman was approached by two men on April 9, who claimed to be plainclothes detectives.

They allegedly told the victim they were investigating a counterfeit money operation. Police say the two suspects then transported the woman to the bank and had her withdraw almost $4,000.

The two men are wanted for burglary, theft and impersonating a peace officer.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
