Preserving America's Borders

Commissioner suggests building wall, mounting machine guns to keep illegals out

A Warren County commissioners is suggesting that he and fellow board members send a letter to President Bush asking him to get serious about protecting America's borders. Commissioner Mike Kilburn, a Republican, said if we want to take back this country we have to start with the border patrol. He suggested building a 40-foot wall along the border with Mexico, topping it with electrically charged wire and posting guards with machine guns every 400 feet. Kilburn said he would be asking fellow commissioners Pat South and Larry Crisenbery to sign the letter. Both said they would take a look at it, although South expressed reservations with Kilburn's comments. The subject came up when a discussion about applying for a national Preserve America designation that deals with preserving heritage led to talk about preserving borders.
