People who work downtown may be surprised when they make their way into work and see a 40-foot van parked on the corner of 4th Street and Broadway.
A ceremony downtown on Tuesday will unveil UC Health's new 40-foot state of the art-Mobile Diagnostic Van.
A gift from Western & Southern made it possible for UC Health to put the wheels in motion to create this van with such advanced technology.
The van will be equipped with ultrasound imaging to diagnose a number of issues, including bone density, and will also be able to perform EKG and blood pressure tests. First class screening tests for mammography will use 3D, Tomosynthesis.
The van will be in service by midsummer throughout Greater Cincinnati and will begin taking appointments starting in July.
The UC Health Mobile Diagnostics Van will be staffed by UC Health medical professionals and features sophisticated equipment and board-certified technicians who can perform a variety of diagnostic tests.
Tests to be offered include:
- Breast Tomosynthesis – an exciting new type of 3D-mammogram imaging that produces a three dimensional image of the breast and improves cancer screening and detection.
- Bone Density Testing – Osteoporosis screenings using the peripheral ultrasound
- Health Status Screenings
- Blood Pressure
- Ultrasounds for Peripheral Arterial Disease, Abdominal Aorta Aneurysms and Stroke/Carotid Artery
- Wellness Panels (Lab)
