The chase ended around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning with a crash on northbound I-71/75 at the Turfway Road exit.

According to Kentucky State Police, deputies in Switzerland County, Ind. attempted to stop Derek Snell, 19, of Bedford, after observing him driving recklessly.

The pursuit continued into Boone County before Snell's vehicle struck two other vehicles. There were no injuries in the collision.

Snell was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, Theft of an Automobile, Fleeing and Evading, Wanton Endangerment, DUI, Speeding, Reckless Driving, No Insurance, No Operator's License, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Snell was lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
