New Mercer Garage opens in OTR

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

Parking in Over-the-Rhine will now be a bit easier. The new Mercer Garage opened to the public Thursday.

The garage is part of the Mercer Commons project, a $63 million residential and commercial development to be built in three phases, located in the blocks of Vine and Walnut Streets between 13th and 14th Streets.

Mercer Garage has 340 spots available and offers a parking rate from $1-$8 maximum.

The first phase of Mercer Commons also includes 11 condominiums in four historic rehabs on Mercer Street, 12 condos in a new, mixed-use building on Vine Street with 3,900 square feet of commercial space and five new construction townhomes on Mercer.

Following the opening of Mercer Garage, the historic rehabs will follow in June and the remaining condos in the Fall 2013.
