Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - Johnny Cueto's first rehab start was a success. Pitching for the Single-A Dayton Dragons Cueto pitched 3 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run with four strikeouts and no walks. Cueto threw 50 pitches - 36 for strikes.
Cueto has been on the disabled list since shortly after a start in Pittsburgh April 13th in which he left with a sore lat muscle in his right arm. He has since also complained of soreness in his oblique.
Cueto is expected to make at least one more rehab start.
In three starts for the Reds this season Cueto is 1-0 with a 2.60 ERA.
