Mount St. Joseph awards over 400 diplomas

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - More than 400 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their diplomas from the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.

The Mount will hold two commencement ceremonies. A ceremony for adult and graduate students will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a ceremony for traditional students at 2:30 p.m.

Reverend James J. Walsh, pastor at St. Dominic, will address the graduate and adult students during the morning ceremony. Father Jim will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his leadership and pastoral ministry in the Roman Catholic Church, locally and nationally.

Craig D. Hockenberry '95, principal of Oyler School in Price Hill, will address the traditional students during the afternoon ceremony. He will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his dedication to the students of Oyler and the surrounding community. Hockenberry is a 1995 graduate of the Mount and holds a master's in education administration from Xavier University.

Sixty-five students received their diplomas in the Mount's December commencement.

The College of Mount St. Joseph is an undergraduate and graduate Catholic college that provides an interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curriculum emphasizing values, service and social responsibility.
