Smale Riverfront Park expansion to be dedicated Monday - Cincinnati News, Weather, Sports from FOX19 NOW-WXIX

Swings, garden dedicated at Smale Riverfront Park

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The grand opening of the new Duke Energy Garden and Rosenberg Swings took place Monday morning on the Main Street Plaza adjacent to the garden at Mehring Way and Joe Nuxhall Way.

Thanks to a generous donation from Dianne and J. David Rosenberg, the new swings will offer visitors an unobstructed view of the Ohio River and the Kentucky shoreline.

The Rosenberg Swings feature 12 family-sized shaded porch seats.

The swings are one of several new attractions to Smale Riverfront Park which is expected to be completed in time for the Major League All-Star Game in 2015 and will also include a 1000-foot transient boat dock.
