Anna Louise Inn sold to Western & Southern

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Western & Southern and Cincinnati Union Bethel have agreed to a new plan that includes Western & Southern's purchase of the Anna Louise Inn from CUB for $4 million.

The plan will enable Anna Louise Inn to continue its mission at an alternate location with the goal of completing a new home within two years.

As a result of the agreement, which is subject to certain conditions, all litigation between the parties and the City of Cincinnati will be dismissed prior to closing. And, CUB will keep the name Anna Louise Inn.

The settlement provides CUB time to complete the new Anna Louise Inn, so that residents will be able to remain at the current location until the new Anna Louise Inn is finished.

The new site will be in Mt. Auburn, at the corner of Reading Road and Kinsey Avenue, across from the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.

With the sale, Western & Southern says they plan to explore developing the existing facility into a hotel.

The Anna Louise Inn, currently located near Lytle Park in downtown Cincinnati, has been providing housing for single women since 1909.
