$10,000 grant awarded to Hamilton Co. Parks Foundation

HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

The Hamilton County Parks Foundation received a $10,000 grant from a sporting goods store on Tuesday.

REI, a premier outdoor gear and sporting goods store, awarded the grant in support of the Hamilton County Park District Stewardship Program.

The program brings in volunteers to help with trail construction and maintenance, waterway cleanups of debris and litter and more.

"We are excited to provide the Hamilton County Parks Foundation with funding," says David Jayo, Corporate Giving Manager, "but more importantly, we are committed to strengthening our partnership. Working together, we hope to build greater awareness of the Foundation's work and REI's investment in the organization."

REI donates millions of dollars each year to organizations working to preserve and maintain natural spaces.
