CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Remke bigg's has announced it is transferring all of its prescription business to Walgreens effective May 21, 2013.
"The pharmacy industry has changed to the point that there needed to be an investment into upgrading our systems to keep pace with the industry and to serve our customers at the level we felt was necessary to continue our legacy of exceptional service," said Remke bigg's CEO Bill Remke. "This investment would have distracted us from our main goal of delivering high quality, fresh food, local products and outstanding service."
Remke bigg's will continue to offer a professional butcher in every store, source produce locally when possible, and offer freshly made bakery, homemade deli selections and expanded organic offerings, health, beauty care and wellness products.
Remke bigg's prescription files will transfer to Walgreens May 21, 2013 with no interruption in service and care.
"We've served residents of Ohio and Northern Kentucky for decades and we look forward to providing Remke bigg's pharmacy customers with great service for years to come," said Patrick Hawthorne, Walgreens market vice president in Ohio.
