WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - UC Health Women's Center in West Chester celebrated its grand opening on Saturday by inviting the community to tour its new facility
The new building is located at 7675 Wellness Way, 4th floor suite 4000, West Chester, in the medical building just next door to West Chester Hospital.
Residents met Director of the UC Health Women's Center and associate professor/director in the UC College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Lisa Larkin and her staff. Annual exams, medical checkups, long term treatments, or therapies to enhance the mind, body and soul, it was the vision of Larkin to provide an elevated level of care to meet the needs and accompany a patient through their mid-teens to senior years.
Men can enjoy this experience as well. In addition to the women's services, the facility will offer integrative medicine consults available to both men and women which includes acupuncture, massage, mindfulness groups, reflexology.
A workout room will offer therapeutic yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Medical QiGong classes. No referral is needed for any of these services.
Under Larkin's leadership, the center introduces a health care experience specifically designed to accommodate gender differences in biology, physiology and response to disease.
"We will serve women's needs with superior coordination among providers, through a team-based approach that leads to better overall health for each patient," says Larkin, "Bringing together primary care and specialty providers offering an innovative resource for women and the community."
Visitors enjoyed the new concept of integrated medicine under one roof and received discounted certificates for skin care services.
