Escaped inmate captured in Warren County

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - Police have captured an inmate who escaped from the Lebanon Correctional Institution on Tuesday afternoon.

Stephen Ramey walked away from the facility just before noon. He was captured just after 7:30 p.m. on Shaker Road after police say a female companion called authorities and turned him in.

Police shut down SR 63 in Lebanon after someone reported seeing Ramey in the area of SR 63 and Markey.

Ramey was assigned to work in the garage as an auto mechanic.

Officials say Ramey has been in jail serving a sentence for burglary March 7, 2013.

Ramey is from Montgomery County, Ohio.
